Over the last four decades, I have been very fortunate to have founded and grown several multi-million-dollar companies and start-ups. I have been a CFO, a CEO, and now a full-time SHE-EO. I have been involved in finance, management, sales, and business development. I have participated in mergers, several acquisitions, and publicly owned companies.
For the past sixteen years, I immersed myself in the hyper-growth industry of solar and renewable energies. I took this company from a startup to one of Florida’s largest solar energy companies, earning recognition as one of INC Magazine's fastest-growing private companies in America and one of Solar Power World's Top Solar Contractors in the United States.
While I was involved with all these companies, I also nurtured my creative side by writing several books of my own and dozens more for others. It gives me great pleasure to see how people appreciate my writing, but frankly, I would still write even if no one read my books because it's the process that I truly love. I also love helping others turn their ideas into print.
Success in business has allowed me to travel the world, and I've been very grateful for the opportunity to experience different lands and cultures.
By managing my time well, I have been able to run various businesses and stay fit by eating a healthy diet and playing competitive tennis. I have found meditation to be very helpful in managing the pressures of today’s highly stressed world.
Finally, I have been able to see my children become successful adults and experience the love for grandchildren. Building something for the sake of building or simply making more money is not a motivator for me. Building to create more opportunities for others (whether for family or employees) is a much better way to keep me motivated.
There is no simple secret to success and fulfillment. It's something we must continually work at. Fortunately, many of the systems and practices that have helped me in my life are also easily transferable to others, and that’s one reason I decided to make another career change and go through another rebranding. If I can do it with hard work and persistence, anyone can. I’d be honored if you would let me help you do it. Tell me your story, and let’s see if I can help you achieve your dream.
After the passing of Ivy's granddaughter, she and her daughter started a non-profit 501c3 organization, Kit's Kindness, and has been developing programs for it with the aim of creating a kinder world. One such project, The Kindness Journal, was released in December, 2020, and all proceeds go to this charity.
