Though I'm a full-time business owner, there are stories and books that I'm passionate about writing. As a result, I make time to write while running one of the top solar companies in the United States (recently named one of Inc. Magazine's fastest growing private companies in America), spending as much time with my family as I can, and playing tennis with friends. Yes, sometimes I can be a very busy woman, but as the saying goes, "If you want something done, give it to a busy person. The more things you do, the more you can do." That seems to be me in a nutshell.
Ivy Gilbert was born in Maine, but has lived in Florida for the past twenty-five years. Her background has included 35 years in business with an extensive concentration in finance, management, sales, and business development. She also has years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, franchising and taking companies public. Over the past twelve years, she has dedicated herself to the solar and renewable energy industry and has built one of the largest solar energy companies in Florida recently named one of INC Magazine's fastest growing private companies in America.
After the passing of Ivy's granddaughter, she and her daughter started a non-profit 501c3 organization, Kit's Kindness, and has been developing programs for it with the aim of creating a kinder world. One such project, The Kindness Journal, was released in December, 2020, and all proceeds go to this charity.
